Your Opinion Counts
Why is making new year resolutions important to you?
Helps me stay focused on my goals and vision in life
Helps me renew my spirit to improve myself and others
It's the tradition of the Prophet (pbuh) & successful people
Helps me evaluate my progress, success & failures

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Whoever relieves a believer from a distress, God will relieve him from one of his distresses on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever alleviates the hardship of a person in difficulty, God will alleviate his hardship in this world and the next. Whoever covers (the shortcomings, faults, and sins of) a Muslim, God will cover him up in this world and the next. And remember, God will help a servant so long as the servant helps his brother.” [Muslim]

HDF Education program reflects on the female communities of Shamsabad Region

  • Nusrat and Samina both are friends the former is 8 and later is 11 years old and are studying in class-2, Shah Lodhi Child Friendly School at village Jurio Ghutko. After school hours in the evening they are teaching to their elder sisters who are the members of female DO Jurio-1. Due to continuous struggle and interest of Samina & Nusrat their sisters became able to write their names and can sign on DO resolutions and other related papers.
  • The HDF-Child Friendly Schools not only place for children aged 5 to 11 years who are not going to school but they also reflect light of education on DOs members as well as the communities where girls students of the schools are attending the classes on the regular basis while their elder female community members rarely. These females have become able to write and sign within very short span of time besides this their attitude and behavior have been changed to wards positive as compared to other females of the village.
  • Even one of the female DO Hot Solangi of village Hot Solangi whose young members are rarely attending the schools they are not just able to write in Sindhi but they can speak little bit english this has been in progress DO Sheena. The members of this DO Sheena greet HDF staff in english and say Khuda Hafiz by using english words "OK" and "SEE YOU NEXT TIME".
  • The observations at newly opened school at village Razi Chandio of unit #2 are also interesting to see. In this school about sixteen (16) children (boys & girls) have been enrolled while four (4) girls from the same village are also attending the schools on regular basis for full school time these are not enrolled in the school. Two (2) girls out four (4) are the members of female DO of this village, they said that we want to seek knowledge and being member of DO we feel shy when we sign DO resolutions and other papers by putting thumb impression but just within one month we are writing our names and can read Sindhi and are too much happy when this was asked from them.

During the visit of this school a very short meeting was convened with male DO members, they said that we are really very happy to have this special program from HDF and thankful to HDF for providing this opportunity. They are very confident for the progress of their children after the existence of school.

The DO members mentioned that although their village is very small but they were trying for school in the village even they approached to MPA and MNA for the same but they were not succeeded. They said that this school would remain open for long time even HDF quiets from here. These people also believe in the sustainability of School and DO too they have in their minds that this can only be possible by advance planning and savings.
