Sakina – a dedicated worker for HDF

Usman Solangi is one of the villages in the Shamsabad region where HDF is actively involved. The villagers of Usman Solangi work very hard to make HDF’s projects successful. Mohammed Waris and his daughter Sakina are the first two persons of the village who welcomed the HDF team and supported it for carrying out different activities in the program area.

Sakina became the spokesperson for HDF, spreading its message and vision to all villagers, males and females alike. While doing this, she faced many difficult situations. Together with other HDF volunteers, Sakina worked very hard for a school. She continually faced harassment from some misguided and ignorant individuals in the village. However, she persisted and with her help, HDF is now able to provide education and health services to the village residents. Today, the school is a living testimony of her efforts and persistence. .

Once the school was established, she was the first person to enroll as a student. At that time the villagers made fun of her, but she was determined. Sakina always volunteers to help her teacher, and that too with a smile. She has this dream about providing her children with a good education and a healthy start in life. Judging by her determination and sincerity, Insha Allah her children will certainly receive all that she was denied in her childhood.
