HDF Shamsabad Short Listed For Sind
Women’s Health Project
By Ghazala Panhwar
Sindh Women’s Health Project
has been initiated and established
by Government of Pakistan with major
funding (80%) from Asian Development
Bank. The remaining project cost will
be borne by Government of Sindh. Initially
this project will be based in four
“women-friendly” districts
of Sindh province - Badin, Naushahro
Feroze, Shikarpur and Tharparkar.
While many NGOs had indicated interest,
only five were short listed. HDF Shamsabad
is one of them. All the short listed
NGOs were invited by the project staff
for a one-day workshop at Karachi
for final selection.
Zahid Jalbani, Ghazala Panhwar and
Gulshan Dars from HDF Shamsabad Region
participated in the workshop. The
workshop provided a good opportunity
to introduce HDF to potential donors
and the community, as well as to other
NGOs.
