HDF Canada at Awami Mela
Now in its fifth year, the HDF Canada
presence at Awami Mela Day is becoming
a proud tradition. With attendance
of about 1,000 people, the huge crowd
demonstrated the strong bond Pak-Canadians
feel for Pakistan.
Not only that, we have now acquired
the tax-exempt status, which allows
to be more proactive. Hopefully, the
interest shown at the Mela will result
in increased support.
The HDF volunteers answered a lot
of questions and were happy to see
the smiles the flags and pins put
on the children's faces.
