Assalamu alaikum,

As Ramadan leaves us, Thanksgiving Day refreshes our spirit of giving and sharing.

Thanksgiving (Nov. 23rd) is a unique holiday in the sense that no single religion or community can lay its claim on it. It unites us with that Supreme Being who is the sole superpower of the universe. It brings out the uniqueness of this country where people of all religions and faiths from all parts of the world come and expect to be treated equally by the law of the land.

And at the same time it reminds us of our responsibility to other human beings for treating them as fairly and with same respect as we expect to be treated ourselves.

As we gather today with our friends and family for celebrating this special occasion by feasting and praying, we also think of those who are not able to do that and we ask ourselves how we can make life a little better for them.

HDF provides you with the opportunity to make life a little better for someone. We invite you to make a difference today with your donation!

Every year on November 9th, Pakistanis celebrate the birth of the poet-philosopher, Dr. Mohammad Iqbal, who played a vital role in the birth of Pakistan. This week review a collection of articles on his life, as well as links to some of his valuable classical works.

Peace,
HDF Team
