Assalamu Alaikum

Coming Monday will most likely be the first day of fasting for Muslims. Ramadan Mubarak. This newsletter provides several articles regarding Ramadan.

You are our supporters. You are the one who have built HDF brick by brick.

HDF vision of helping people help themselves is working.

Human development is hot. Even the government of Pakistan has taken up the model of human development from us. But should we leave it to the government and retire? No. That would be a disaster. Governments come and go. We have to keep the model up and running for the benefit of the poor and the needy.

More than ever, we need your support now.

We firmly believe that "Allah does not change the state of a people until they change what is within them." (Quran 8:53). That is the reason we think that the civil society must continue to strengthen itself for human development.

We will keep on building. Together, this partnership of helping people help themselves will continue to shape the future of Pakistan.

Today, HDF has become the third largest non-governmental organization working in Pakistan due to Pak-Americans like you working hand in hand with villagers who are being empowered by our micro-credit, preventive medicine and the model school programs.

I know that like us, you will be receiving many requests for zakat this Ramadan. But our request to you is that this Ramadan please donate your zakat to HDF.
