Assalamu alaikum,
As
Pak-Americans we approach the July 4th Independence
Day with hope for a better world where freedom and justice is for all.
Fredrick Henry's words "give
me freedom or give me death" are built into the patriotic fibre of our
adopted country, the USA.
Pak-Americans feel a double
responsibility. One is to bring liberty and justice to the Pakistani masses.
Another is to make America a kinder and gentler nation which does not sacrifice
justice at the altar of security.
Are you getting married
this Summer? Are you helping a friend with her wedding arrangements? Or do you
know a relative planning a Walima? Please utilize our new Shadi
Page
to help you organize weddings more efficiently!
Peace,

Opinions of Mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel
them to the Separation." [read

Bill of Rights
During the debates on the adoption of the Constitution, its opponents repeatedly
charged that the Constitution as drafted would open the way to tyranny by the
central government. Fresh in their minds was the memory of the British violation
of civil rights before and during the Revolution. They demanded a "bill
of rights" that would spell out the immunities of individual citizens.
