Assalamu alaikum,

As you know, HDF continues to make a difference in the lives of the thousands of children and families who have been affected by the catastrophic earthquake in the Muzzaffarabad region.

Already, over 17,000 children have lost their lives, and more than 20,000 have sustained permanent, debilitating injuries. As well, many children are suffering from the emotional trauma of such a terrible event.

Eid means ?recurring happiness.? And, Eid should be celebrated?even in times of difficulty. It is our responsibility?as Pakistanis living in peace, prosperity and security?to reach out to these children with a gift of joy and love this Eid.

Starting today (1 November) through Thursday night (4 November), HDF?s team in Pakistan will be collecting donations of ?EID GIFTS,? as well as basic, emergency need items for the children of the Muzzaffarabad region.

Please, direct your Fitra (Zakatul Fitr) and monetary gifts to this fund today!

As Eid-ul-Fitr approaches, please take some time to read new helpful articles on Eid preparation, things to do on the day of Eid, and ways of making this Eid a memorable experience.

On behalf of the Human Development Foundation, we would like to wish all of you a marvelous and safe Eid!

Peace,
HDF & YesPakistan Team
