Assalamu alaikum,
Mother's Day is around the corner....again. So what's the big deal?
One of the aims of HDF is to help the poorest mothers in Pakistan with their health, childcare, economic well-being, and education. HDF has saved lives of thousands of mothers through its health programs and has educated and empowered multitudes through female literacy innitiatives.
We routinely come across mothers in our human development work in the rural Pakistan who are symbols of sacrifice for their children and communities!
This month, as we witness another Mother's Day, HDF celebrates the ongoing success stories and activism of such humble mothers and leaders in human development.
On this Mother's Day, think about your own mother. When was the last time you helped her with chores around the house? What is the most special thing you can do with your mother. How about arranging an evening to listen to your mother's life story?
Discover the woman behind Human Development Foundation, Dr. Shahnaz Khan, a pioneer of HDF, in an inspiring interview. Moreoever, learn about HDF's "Self-help" model and why it works!
